Established in 1958, Jiangsu Provincial Textile Research Institute Co., Ltd. (former Jiangsu Provincial Textile Research Institute) is a multi-specialized, comprehensive scientific research unit which undertakes very early the studies and development of new textile material, new process and new products. Starting from the year of 2001, we have transformed into the enterprise of scientific and technical type, directly under the head office of Jiangsu Provincial Textile (Group) Corporation. At present, the employees of our company are 115, in which scientific and technological personnel are 52, accounted for 45% of the total enrolment.
　　We possess abundant scientific and technological development forces, advanced production means and equipment and wide spread application of scientific and technological products. Since 1978, we have undertaken about 219 technological study and development project belonging to national, province or city, and have honourably won 82 national awards and province awards of science and technology progress in 162 accomplished research achievements. In the 8th national five-years plan period, we have established a scientific and developing (pilot) base of provincial level to produce new products of functional fiber and special fiber as well as a key laboratory of provincial level in technical engineering of special fiber, taking functional fiber and new synthetic textile material as a main objective of development with high-tech and high-surplus value. We also have trained a group of well-known professional in textile domain, have imported lots of laboratory equipment and test apparatus, and have gained a passel of research achievements which were top in our country or reached the international advanced level. In recent years, we have successfully developed a great many hi-tech textiles, such as electric conductive, superfine, antibacterial, flame-resistant, far-red emission, antistatic and electromagnetic shielding, pure stainless-steel textiles etc. The dyeable conjugate electric conductive filaments and its products have honourably won the National Awards of Science and Technology Progress (the second class) and the Province Awards of Science and Technology Progress (the first class).
　　We have built up the production line of antistatic work clothes, the production line of microfiber cleaning cloth, the production line of broad fabric looms and the production line of special yarn spinning. We also have equipped bicomponent spinning machine of US Hills Inc. and circular knitting machine of German Terrot Co. We have passed ISO 9001:2000 certifications of International Quality Standards. We also have possessed various sorts of certification of permission promulgated by the government to produce various special textiles (such as antistatic clothes, antistatic shoes etc.) as well as the privilege of self-managing of import and export textile products and the privilege for the application of the trademark CLEOTH. Now, the main products of our company are: CLEOTH antistatic textile series products, CLEOTH microfiber cleaning cloth series products, CLEOTH antistatic and electromagnetic shielding textile series products, high tenacity low elongation core-spun yarns, bunchy yarn, base fabric for timming belt, cloth for card foundation etc. special fiber, yarns, fabric and textiles. There are 15 categories and several scores of products altogether. These products are applied in oilfield, harbour, electronics, medicine, rubber, communication, war industry more than ten lines of business. These products sell well to distant places such as USA, New Zealand, Japan, as well as many other countries and districts in South-East Asia.
